How we improve routes to optimise your delivery experience

At Amazon Flex, we are committed to improving your delivery experience. Here is a quick overview of how we improved delivery routes to help make your time on the road safer and more efficient.

Consolidating packages for one delivery stop

On occasions where a customer has multiple packages, we have optimised routes to consolidate those packages to a single delivery. This may result in multiple packages for one location or several nearby deliveries.

Minimising road crossings

When you arrive at a delivery location, the Amazon Flex app will suggest the best place to park on your side of the street to help you arrive at the Amazon customer’s home. This also helps to minimise road crossings, whenever possible.

Reducing backtracking to the same location

The improved delivery routing system helps you avoid backtracking or returning to an area more than once during a route. This way, the route keeps you in the same area before moving on to the next.
